Our theme for 2008 highlighted one of the most romantic periods of Scottish history that ended in bloody defeat at Culloden.  The Stuarts ruled Scotland and England for over 100 years, before the political union of the two countries.  After Queen Anne, and the 'overlooking' of  a Stuart successor, there came the Jacobite risings of 1715 and 1745. The hopes of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, the Bonnie Prince, were finally dashed at Culloden in April 1746. His escape to Skye is legend.

The short tour sold out quickly and produced excellent advance orders for 2009.
